Well if you follow me on twitter you heard me rant about how I forgot it was happening!
I really thought Project glam was the following week but I missed it. I did have an outfit now that i think of it but i still didn't have anyone to accompany me ( You know bloggers roll in with an entourage) BUT i was able to snag some photos from this event INCLUDING a friend of mine.

AO/MKO INFLUENCE

I go to libraries frequently. I like to read fashion biographies and self-help books. I find it quite interesting to learn about various artists and designers.

The book I have currently been reading is "INFLUENCE" from Ashley and Mary-kate Olsen.
I did not know what to expect, but it is one big INSPIRATIONAL book.
I am planning on buying it!( i have an amazon link below if you are interested in one! Its highly recommended!)
It is full of interviews of great designers and even FASHION GOD KARL LAGERFELD.
It also contains great photos, a few of them after the jump:

Express Lane

Sooo, I met up with an old friend from high school,

We did the whole catch up over lunch and then headed to the mall.
I NEVER really go to express,
but we went, and fell in love with this jacket.

Its a statement jacket, a MUST HAVE for fall...
Rope trim, shoulder pins and all,It screams BALMAIIINNNN.
With out a balmain pricetag... but at $129, i didn't get it... YET.
I am really thinking about it.

LOL, but seriously, Scott was dope and approached me on twitter and I sat there dumbfounded bc I really look up to him as a stylist, I have always heard little musings of him and to actually sit through and see how he made it out there is Admirable and Inspirational.
From working at BBC and styling Pharrell his personification of style is impeccable, to say the least, and his Grind is one to follow. TOUGH to follow, but as Scott has portrayed, it is possible.

That is the message I wanted to convey today, YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE for your FUTURE. YOU are the only person that can make it happen. YOU are the only person that will make you happy, sad, successful, or nothing. Things don't just fall from the sky, you have to go out there and take what you want. YOUR METHOD will determine your success and longevity, but it is all possible with YOURSELF. If you do not take a step forward, you will always be in the same place.

I haven't done a Seen and Heard in a while BUT THIS WAS TOO DOPE.
I got an email from Jone't a few months ago who told me she saw my PROM POST from a while back and was going to prom,
She was inspired by a cute dress from project runway and even drew a mock up of it, She took it to a tailor and they sewed an AMAZING version for her! I LOVE IT! I want to do the same for my wedding dress, design something and wear it. Im going to be shelling out a ton why not just design it myself? She sent me the final product and it is too great!
