"I see internets every morning"

Lanvin's prefall 2011 show was recently and he said his inspiration was women on the internet looking stylish. Alber Elbaz does not have an email adress, and doesn't use the "internets" but his boyfriend does. AND I LOVES IT. I love Alber, he is an icon to me.

SO I decided since today Wed. I only had one class, most of my classes are Tues./Thurs so I am going to video blog then, It makes a bit more sense. OMG I was on the hunt for shatter polish, the shipment is comming in next week :D So I will be getting myself some. I guess the only bad news I have right now is, I have $200 in books to buy still :/ Boo.

Actually no LOL, I feel lost(QUE THE KANYE). SCHOOL STARTS TOMORROW. Yea that's right i've had no school this whole time, BUT I'll be on campus and probably will be using the computer lab (more than I want to) but hey. I have to wait. YES I got my money, its just NOW there aren't any computers available.... that I want. I feel like all the things I wanted FIXED before school started didn't get done.

ANYWAY, hopefully I can do a VIDEOBLOG tomorrow! I have wanted to for a while, I feel so bad about MALIBUMARATV being dead all this time.

FRIDAY INSPIRATION

I haven't done one in a while. I started them a year ago and kind of stopped bc everyone else is doing them, I get annoyed when im copied. But anyway, I STILL DON'T HAVE A COMPUTER. WHY? SHSU messed up their refund system and doesn't know when we will get our refunds. They pretty much messed everything up, and I'm currently LIVID.LIVID!!!

I think the McQueen Collection can still thrive while he is not here, But I think that a piece is missing. HOWEVER the butterfly piece is AMAZING.



WELL, As my break is drawing to a close I am starting to get a mix of excited and anxious!Still waiting for my scholarship money to clear so I can get a computer. I AM SO BEHIND on other blogs I read and anything else that is in my email :/
I have a LONG TO DO list, but I think i can get it out of the way. I am looking forward to next semester BUT not really lol. I can't stand the night class I have so best believe I will be check every 5 minutes to see if someone dropped the daytime one! Also I will be looking for a job! I have never worked during school so this will be really lame :/ But i have to do what I have to, and honestly, I would only have to work like a month! so I can suffer that long, I JUST DID AT JUSTICE bahahahaha.

MUSIC MONDAY-LookRightPenny

 One of my old friends from middle school who moved away to Florida is out making amazing music that I have wanted to feature on my blog for so long! I tell all my friends, basically, their better than paramoreX10000000000.  Their name is LookRightPenny and I asked them a few questions:

So I've know you for a while now, and OBVIOUSLY love your music, tell us a bit about look right penny.
Look Right Penny is made up of five people: Mariel Diaz-Carrion, Cotee Embry, Ghaith Khder, Ronnie Rios, and Justin Embry. We live in a small town and have high hopes of making it big.
I really want to know, how did you come up with the name?
Our guitarist, Cotee, came up with the name when he laid change out in a row and realized that Abraham Lincoln (on the penny) was the only one that looked right.

How do you explain your sound?
Our sound is progressive with heavy riffs and breakdowns coated with catchy, ballsy melody lines provided by me, a girl. There really isn’t a band out their with our mixture of musical elements so we hope that fact alone will get people’s attention.

What are some of your goals for the band?
We have huge goals for the band. 2011 IS OUR YEAR! We have recently signed a record deal with the independent label, Bieler Bros. Records, from Pompano Beach, Fl. Everyone at the label and all of us in Look Right Penny are going to be working hard trying to provide you guys with music that will blow your mind. We will be recording mid-January and one of our biggest goals at the moment is touring in the summer.

The STYLE STRATEGY

Since my computer died I have been at the library renting books (it's free you know? lol) and I came across this GOLD book from Nina Garcia called, The Style Strategy. I don't really like her on Project Runway but I decided to give it a chance, and MY oh MY I LOVE IT.
It is full of great advice on building a wardrobe, AND what inspired me was a section on revamping old clothes. Im at a point right now where that is what I needed to hear. And immediately after reading it I went and sewed a few new pieces, and discovered new pieces in my wardrobe.

I LOVE the Graphics from Ruben Toledo, I'm thinking about buying this book!

ALSO, I think it will come in handy for next semester, ALOT. I LOVE THIS BOOK.

She kind of has a series of them, so I have to slowly start to check them out!

BACK TO MY POST,Cassius Clay is Kanye's famous Stylist that he met at Barneys. I think he looks dope. SO I'm naming him a style icon.

Its pretty obvious how his style is influencing Kanye, I like it.Did I mention he went to Yale?FASHION is SMART. Hahaha.
