I do appreciate a strap, but to make an outfit more interesting I think this is a great fall bag.My bag cost less than $10 to make, but there are a few on the market that are styled amazingly and in a great array of colors!

Can it be cold already? No I lie, I just want it to be under 100. PLEASE? I will get my wish this weekend actually, BUT it will be raining -____-

MTV VMAs, and Beybay.

The one night a year MTV pretends to care about music occurred last night and my official fashion post will be up later on today on www.jayswag.com . I LOVE Britney Spears and the "tribute" started off cute with CHA-CHI from I.aM.mE dressed ' baby one more time Britney' dancing to all of the pop queen's hits from the past decade with other adorable young dancers... But it stopped there, WHY? They made it seem like all types of celebrities were gonna do stuff and that didn't happen. ANNNDD During Britney's thank you speech, she had to introduce Queen B! BUT, That was my favorite moment of the show. Beysus is pregnant, and is going to have the most talented and awesome child ever in life.BeyBay.

Audrey Kitching is an amazingly fun blogger, model, and fashion designer. Her street style is awesome, and her hair colors are so perfect. It is not too often I see a trend and say "I can never do that." But when it comes to colored hair, I LOVE it, but never see myself trying it. Also tagged as a scene queen, this girl is fashion forward and really fabulous! Colors, prints, anything chic, Audrey wears it well. Can I have her wardrobe please?

Trend Alert- EXCUSE MY FRENCH, Braided Hair

Yesterday to spruce up a simple bun I braided a 'headband' in my hair. Its really simple and has tons of possibilities. There are many youtube videos out there teaching users how to do so, these photos are ones I LOVE and want to try eventually.

Back to school is around the corner for some of us! I hope everyone had a great summer and if you still have a few days left, enjoy it!I just wanted to leave everyone with some inspiration for back to school style. I can't leave without:

Mind you, I'm in college and only boys and athletes wear backpacks (lol) so I carry a large tote everyday.

I walk 10 blocks to class up and down hills... Flats are my BFF. Sandals too.

I am so obsessed with these even though I would probably never be able to wear one and/or they are kind of pricey ($128-178). I never defined myself in that way, But lately since I've been packing I discovered my style is "Boho Chic." I like slouchy clothes, dessert color palates, minnetonkas... I mean it basically slapped me in the face and said DUH. Just thought I'd share my new found revelation with anyone who was wondering... LOL.

FASHION NIGHT OUT is officially unveiling event lists for the night that is taking the world by storm for the 3rd year in a row! Just go to the official FNO WEBSITE to click on your location and see what events will be happening in your town. Here in Texas I'm still waiting to see if the galleria is going to have another huge event like it did last year, if not, the Market Street in the woodlands is having a concert and live fashion show that seems like a cool posh get away (and is considerably closer!). For people considering traveling to New York, major hotel rooms are offering chic fashion night discounts including 15% discounts, 1 hour blow dry, and Bloomingdale's discount shopping passes. Sounds great, and an awesome way to promote tourism to the city!

Missoni for Target, Coming Sept.2011

I know these photos are everywhere but I LOVE this navajo palate and the signature Missoni prints. Im so glad it is almost September because I am all over this line!

If you are behind on the latest Vogue trend, it has already been declared out of style. The hilarious musings from inside the Condenast elevators were unsafe due to the amazing twitter account, whose anonymity remains in tact. It is clear the author had a conscious... And wanted to keep his/her job because yesterday they posted a resignation...

By submissions, and probably things heard on the creators own, the account offered an intriguing glimpse inside what vogue employees and interns really talk about... AND yes, it is what you think. Let us celebrate this short lived viral sensation with some of my personal favorite tweets:

Trend Alert- Shoulder Cut-Outs

Last night I made a top like this (Well began to, I have to pull out my sewing machine and hem the raw edges) and this morning someone on twitter mentioned it. HE ALSO MENTIONED PLEASE HAVE SMALL SHOULDERS when wearing this trend. TRUTH. You will look like a linebacker.

This is a really easy DIY,  I get my camp shirts at thrift stores from the little boys section. Pretty awesome if you ask me. They always have mountains of Ralph Lauren for $1-5.I found this tutorial at style hive, this is pretty much how it works, BUT her shirt is way too big for it so it looks silly.

Style Icon- Jeannie Mai

Now that I'm home I have been watching the Style channel nonstop. I'm obsessed with "How Do I look?," a makeover based show. Jeannie Mai is the host and she always looks so fab! You learn so much watching this show, Its cray cray how people percieve themselves. Studying fashion, people always try to down grade me and pull out the "Well I don't care how I look.. Blah Blah Blah" But that is never true. Style really is a reflection of who you are. And if it's not, we will never know because you are portraying the wrong image. Style is not a science, but it sure is an art.

Stay Wilder Than The Wind

What is it about denim that we love so much. I am super in love with my denim camp shirt. I layer it so many ways, wear it as a jacket... wear it way too often. I'm sure people aren't aware I have a myriad of other clothing.No just kidding. I don't really wear the same thing twice ;) DIY and the art of layering are my strong suits. -Style.
