In Houston you generally have to pay to go to the museum. There are a lot of cities that get great funding for the arts... Houston just isn't one of them. LUCKILY, if you do want to go for free, Thursdays is where it's at. Every Thursday you can visit any museum in the museum district free of charge. If you haven't you should take advantage. Art makes you well rounded. Spark some creativity, get inspired. FEEL THINGS.
I have heard musings of the Soto installation ever since they put it up and FINALLY I was able to visit this penetrable art. The exhibit lasted until September 1st so thank god I was able to see it in its last days.
