SPRING PALEO FEAST | Ruggles Black

Happy Easter everyone! For lent I considered going paleo but obviously didn't. I kind of wish I did because I would have an excuse to eat Ruggles Black constantly! I got invited to a fun feast with way more food than I could handle, but it was soooo gooood.

Spring Paleo Feast at Ruggles Black

Houston,  TX   (April 1, 2015) -- Ruggles Black, a food bar located in Upper Kirby welcomed Houston’s top food, fashion, and lifestyle bloggers to Spring Paleo Feast on Tuesday, March 31, 2015. Ruggles Black is a modern and fun restaurant serving a fusion of Indian, French, and American foods.
Spring Paleo Feast was a private event for influencers in Houston. Ruggles Black Chef Bruce Molzan “The King of Paleo” prepared delicious Paleo treats with local ingredients from farmers for Spring Paleo Feast. Spring Paleo Feast also featured a signature Paleo inspired cocktail as well as a diverse wine selection.
Spring Paleo Feast’s menu included:
Fried Oysters with Caviar
Angry Shrimp
Pan Seared Brussels Sprouts from Gundermann Acres
Paleo Snapper Taco  ( my favorite thing ever!)
Roasted local Beets and Pork Belly Salad (beets were from Gundermann Acres and pork was from Black Hills Ranch)
Pistachio Snapper
Paleo Fried Rice with Sweet Potato and Coconut Encrusted Snapper
 Tandoori Zataar Chicken

Desserts:

Drinks (and yes I tried all of these):
The Long Drive: sweet tea vodka, lemonade vodka, and basil ice

A surprise guest Giacomo Satta, son of Michele Satta from the very famous Satta Winery in Bolgheri stopped by and we introduced and poured the following:

Satta “Piastraia” (Cabernet, Merlot, Syrah, Sangiovese) NSRP $40

Spring Paleo Feast was definitely a memorable event with beautiful people and beautiful food surrounded by the modern and chic decor of Ruggles Black.

About Ruggles Black:
The concept and food at Ruggles Black is modern and fun: a fusion pushing Indian, Asian, and American flavors to whole new boundaries in terms of taste, but keeping it accessible in terms of price.
Ruggles Black is THE place to be for conscious eating foodies, as Bruce “The King of Paleo” cooks his amazingly delicious treats with local ingredients from farmers, while embracing the Paleo principles.
While the kitchen at Ruggles Black is Chef Molzan’s playground, the dining area is his partner’s canvas. Neera Patidar invited local artist Gino Vian to join her in creating the restaurant’s eclectic interior design, made to delight and inspire their upper Kirby visitors.
Although surprising in many ways, the spicy ethnic atmosphere is yet so versatile: perfect for casual fine dining, late night eating, cocktails & dancing, and can even accommodate special parties.
