CARNAVAL de 51FIFTEEN

51Fifteen was turned into a Carnaval last Thursday thanks to Contour Interior Design, the design firm responsible for the amazing new redesign of 51fifteen in Saks. 51Fifteen was their first restaurant project and you would never have known. Everything looks amazing, designer Nina Magon has an amazing eye. Nina might sound familiar, she has been on American Dream Builders and is notably one of the best designers in the US.

The LD dance company performed for a crowd in attendance for support of Dec My Room as well. Tickets and the Silent Auction Proceeds went to this cause. Many people came out to this event including David Peck, and Chita Johnson. Live music was also a staple and I can't get enough of the dancers.

Quote from Nina Magon: “We were hired to conceptualize and complete the interior design and interior architecture for the new restaurant, lounge & bar. Since Saks Fifth Avenue is an iconic store, we wanted to exemplify that iconic behavior in the design of the new restaurant. No other restaurant in Houston uses the combination of the classic color palette of white, gray, black, brass and white stone, nor uses mid-century modern pieces such as the Saarnien chairs by Knoll or the famous Serge Mouille Light Fixtures in one cohesively designed space. Therefore, with this design, we truly wanted to create a space that would make a design statement in Houston, as well as represent classic design with a modern twist.”

This space is so beautiful, major design inspiration to be had. Can we also mention the food at 51/fifteen is also great? If you haven't made it out yet you are seriously missing out!

LOVE, MARA
