I'm being nice and leaving off the high school musical 2 soundtrack! I worked for a company called Libby Lu when I was in high school and the customer base was girls that loved Hannah Montana, Jonas Brothers, and High school musical. By default I had to know everything about those kid trends but it makes for a hilarious cultural reference. Also, it wasn't too bad of a time for a high school job. Now, I just wish I cared about using the Saks discount that came with working there! Saks owned Libby Lu and during the recession Saks made the decision to focus the business on their brand, and not the smaller little kid makeover concept they owned. Very, very smart business decision on their part but definitely made me sad. At that time I just left to study fashion merchandising and I was thinking maybe I would find myself at Saks corporate. You can definitely plan a picnic, but you can't predict the weather!
I think I ended up on a more interesting journey.
