Scene and Heard: Dylan Bernard

I'd like to introduce the AWESOME Dylan Bernard for this week's Music Monday. He's a really cool guy from New Jersey ready to take the world by storm. He's totes on track to be the next teen heart throb with a great commercial look and soft voice. You might know him as the artist signed to my other partner Jay Swag's management. Dylan has some amazing talent I can't wait to see what the future brings for him, so learn about him now on his rise to fame:

 Introduce yourself really quickly for any of my readers who may not know you?

 "Hey everybody! My name is Dylan Bernard. I'm 17 years old and I'm a youtube artist from South Jersey. I've been singing ever since I was about  5 years old." 

I love your song covers! Are there any artists that inspire you?

"There are a few artists that inspire me as far as my sound goes, but none of them compare to my main inspiration; my mom. She passed away when I was little and ever since then I've been pursuing music to make her proud of me."

 If you could work with any artist who would it be?

"Hmm that's a good question. Right now, I'd have to say Andy Grammar. I like how most of his songs are uplifting and I haven't heard one of his songs that sends a negative message. I think in today's world that's very important and I love that he sends a positive message in everything that he does." 

 Are you working on any special projects at the moment?

"Yep! Most recently my manager and I launched my official website www.DylanBernardMusic.com so be sure to check that out. Once a week I ask my fans what they want to hear and post a cover on my YouTube Channel; www.youtube.com/dylantbernard. Every sunday at 7pm ET make sure you guys tune into ustream.com/officialjayswag for our weekly web series. There are also a few artists that I plan on working with in the near future and I'm humble that these artist's chose me to work with them and I'm very excited. Lastly, during the summer of 2013, I plan on releasing some original music, so be on the look out for that.

What are your music goals for 2013?

"My music goals for 2013 are to finalize my image and sound. From there I'll be able to come up with my own music, and discover even more artists to work with. Another big goal of mine is to reach one million page views by the end of 2013. Of course, without the fans none of that would be possible. I just want to take the time now to thank each and every one of my fans for believing in me and what I do. I promise to never let you down."

 Do you have any advice for anyone who wants to pursue a music career?

"Yes I do! If I could describe my personal way of becoming a well known artist, it would be consistency. The one thing I've come to learn is that it is so important to be consistent in everything you do. I post covers once a week, interact with my fans daily, and dedicate most of my time into what I love to do."

Im Obsessed with... HEADPIECES

Obsessed. My love for Excessorizing will never feign. I currently have two headpieces and I just want to expand my collection as much as possible. I think they add a cool exotic touch to any look. I prefer them for a cool event or a night out. Definite conversation piece.

MIA Gets bonus points for incorporating the Nazar into hers...TOTES AMAZE.

It is also often referred to as the "beauty crown." The traditional headband is kind of preppy, and the traditional crown reminds me of Toddlers and Tiaras. I love this happy medium.It's definitely not for everyday, but it will make a great conversation piece at your next social.

Music Monday: How to Dress Well

Tom Krell the genius behind How to Dress Well kills me with his narcotic R&B inspired tunes.I mean hello, Spin magazine said he gave them memories of TLC. He's dope in my book. Total Loss dropped in September of last year and pitchfork gave it a stamp of approval. If you're a fan of Active Child, Bon Iver and the weekend look him up and give him a listen.I really want to see him live because all of the live videos of him are breathtaking. (Suicide dream is a must hear)

Long story short I don't have my typical picture collage this week! I lived for 2 weeks basically without a phone so I'm getting back into the swing of documenting every part of my life! LOL. I didn't really do anything super dope this week anyway.

Rainy Days, Current Craves.

Thank you Paris. All of the flash flood warnings here momentarily led me to believe buying my new Altima was not a good idea since I used to drive a jeep. It wasn't a bad idea I was alright yo. ANYWAY, the point of the post was to show my love for Hunter Rainboots. I really just want a black pair but I came across these:

Jimmy Choo Hunter Wellies.They're like... 4years old tho. BUT STILL. SO CUTE.
Apparently they make a regular textured version sooo I am on the look out.
