FASHIONABLY FIT FRIDAY | Revolution studio, River Oaks

Now that I have had my experience at the spin and yoga session with Revolution studios its time for you to try out their newest studio in River Oaks. May 2nd and May 3rd they will be offering classes on a first come first serve basis! Yoga or Cycling so you can try your hand at either like I did.

http://www.revolution-studio.com/Reserve/Reserve.aspx

I spoke about going to a fun pop up Hustle& Flow pop up class at Lululemon in Highland Village. I learned that I am not good at spin when I went. I want to build my way up though because it was really fun! I should add the bike to my current workouts. The live DJ was also what set the mood since the playlist was on point.
The event started with a free shoe rental and some flash tattoos. My favorite drink company Neuro came buy with drinks as well. After our Cycle and yoga sessions the event ended with breakfast burritos. I love Lululemon so it was interesting having this pop up class in their shop.

The yoga cool down was fun, although it was more like a stretch and less like a relaxing cool down, it was what I needed after 30 minutes of the struggle.

Sending namaste vibes to you this weekend!

HENRI BENDEL | 120th Anniversary

Rocking my Henri Bendel Jetsetter bag.

As a Bendel girl and I super excited for the 120th anniversary! Since I am traveling I am missing the official launch of the 712 perfume but I will have to check it out as soon as I get back.

Price: $98.00

Key notes include:

o Top notes: Italian Bergamot, Sparkling Mandarin Blossom, Quince

o Mid: Blue Freesia, Iris, Hedione

o Dry: Suede, White Sandalwood, Cashmere Musk

It all began in 1895 when Henri Bendel opened his first store in Greenwich Village New York. In 1907 Bendel created and trademarked the now legendary brown and white striped hatbox and shopping bag, and was the first luxury retailer to move his store to Fifth Avenue. In 1915, Bendel was one of the first American designers to launch a signature parfum called “Un Peu d’Elle”. A century later, inspired by its legendary address at 712 Fifth Avenue, Henri Bendel New York introduces Suite 712 Eau de Parfum.
Suite 712 elegantly embodies iconic New York’s sophisticated affluence and understated extravagance. The fragrance rouses the senses as if stepping into that landmark townhouse, or lounging in the backseat of a chauffeured luxury car. Its scent, distinctive and sexy, encompasses floral and woody notes such as freesia and suede. More than homage, it is a celebration. Suite 712 pays tribute to the brand’s rich heritage and to generations of Bendel girls.

Lilly for Target | Sandals

Do people know that you can by actual Lilly Pulitzer for cheaper than all the Lilly for Target resellers? I really think Target doesn't understand how to do this collaborations. One like Lily should have come with a limit. It's really not fair, to someone like me, that wanted to shop the collection and buy a piece that I can add to my personal collection. Instead I arrived to empty racks and 2 white women pushing around 2 VERY FULL baskets each stuffed with full size runs of clothing, accessories and homeware.

In the store one of them picked up a scarf and said "Will they like this? Do you think they will buy this?"

Yes bitch, thats why I woke my black ass up at 8 am and drove 10 miles here.

The only things left were a few XL a L apparel items, iphone 6 phone cases, a few hats, and most of the outdoor collection. I was decided between a hat, these sandals and a beach towel.

Welp, meet my Lilly Pulitzer pineapple summer sandals! I honestly didn't need anything crazy sooo it might be better if I buy it when these "resellers" try to return it all!

DID YOU BUY LILLY FOR TARGET?

PHOTOLOG | FINALLY BACK

My first post with my new Mac Book and I can finally get back on track with everything blog related! I hated feeling so behind and not having a computer. My last computer had a hard drive failure and after a ton of back and forth with UPS-- I have a new Mac Book.

I spent the last part of the week in Lake Charles for work and it was a pretty cute! I'll be back in about a week,so expect more posts when I can explore the property for fun and not work. We were working on the new pro golf shop and we didn't even finish! They're still doing construction, the place is larger than we thought, shipments didn't arrive complete, we also didn't buy enough.... It was a cluster.
Other than that I ate enough of our restaurants for a long time, and really need to hit up the pool when I go back.

Sorry, no cute outfit photos since I was always dressed for intense store set-up. The last day I was ready to leave. my feet hurt! No roshes for store set ups... ever again. My Henri Bendel Jetsetter is the perfect travel purse! A post is coming on it soon. I am obsessed with it.

Marble Macbook | New Macbook Pro

Sunday Tea:
So in all things typical my computer of barely a 14 months hard drive failed. Like---what? It's an SSHD so I have no clue how that's even possible. Well I mean, Meelo did slingshot it across the room, BUT STILL. Either way in lieu of getting it fixed I just invested in a Macbook pro. I know, I know. I have been solid windows for pretty much ever... This was pretty much the last straw. Luckily there wasn't much information on that HD, trying to buy a new one and re-format it would have been annoying seeing as though computers don't come with an optical disk drive anymore!
ENOUGH NERD TALK
I also ordered this marble case from amazon. It looks so sleek while protecting my computers body LOL. #macbookonfleek
I love it and can't wait to use it... And get back to blogging. This kind of puts all of my projects on hold until it gets in the mail! Im also traveling Wednesday through Friday to Louisiana for work fun slavery. BAH. Trying to schedule a couple posts and maybe blog a little bit about the attractiveness that is Lake Charles.

DERMALOGICA PRE-CLEANSE REVIEW

As an Ifabbo Influencer I was selected to participate in this fun pre-cleanse campaign sponsored by Dermalogica. I shampoo twice, so why not wash your face twice? Are you like me and always have eyeliner residue after your first wash? At first I wasn't sure what to think when I saw this was a pre-cleanse because I thought the products would dry out my face but they did not!
The precleanse is a lightweight oil that you kind of loosen the dirt on your face with. It slowly changes into a milky consistency. The wipes are awesome for travelers because the product is on each sheet. I have a little bit of travel soon so I know what essentials I will have with me.
Dermalogica writes that this regimen is based on the foundation of "double-cleanse." This helps break up excess sebum, sunscreen, waterproof makeup, environmental pollutants, and residual products that build up on the skin throughout the day. I have mentioned before how pollutants effect your complexion and I'm glad this is becoming more and more important in terms of skincare.

Have you tried the Dermalogica pre-cleanse regimen? You can view their products here: http://bit.ly/dermalogicaprecleanse. I had added these to my beauty routine for days that I put on a full coverage face. It really helps with excess buildup!

*This product was sent to be for review through IFaboo. I am IFabbo  endorsed, and thank all sponsors without them this blog is not possible. All opinions are my own so back up off me.

No-Chella.

Another year, another missed Coachella. Coachella is this weekend and the migration to Indio will begin in a few days. The roster looks pretty great and I'm sure it will be a memorable year. I am loving the typical boho trends to take on this dessert environment. Hot days, cold nights, typical dessert sandstorms... is this really a music festival? Lol. I love it.
I am hoping to go to O2 next year in london... but that's another blog post.
So what trends am I liking? This year florals are back, crochet, and wool hats are all the rage. Since I won't be anywhere near Palm Springs this weekend I'm saving all of these trends for my San Diego trip later this summer! Time to break out the short shorts, its almost summer and I can't wait!

SPRING PALEO FEAST | Ruggles Black

Happy Easter everyone! For lent I considered going paleo but obviously didn't. I kind of wish I did because I would have an excuse to eat Ruggles Black constantly! I got invited to a fun feast with way more food than I could handle, but it was soooo gooood.

Spring Paleo Feast at Ruggles Black

Houston,  TX   (April 1, 2015) -- Ruggles Black, a food bar located in Upper Kirby welcomed Houston’s top food, fashion, and lifestyle bloggers to Spring Paleo Feast on Tuesday, March 31, 2015. Ruggles Black is a modern and fun restaurant serving a fusion of Indian, French, and American foods.
Spring Paleo Feast was a private event for influencers in Houston. Ruggles Black Chef Bruce Molzan “The King of Paleo” prepared delicious Paleo treats with local ingredients from farmers for Spring Paleo Feast. Spring Paleo Feast also featured a signature Paleo inspired cocktail as well as a diverse wine selection.
Spring Paleo Feast’s menu included:
Fried Oysters with Caviar
Angry Shrimp
Pan Seared Brussels Sprouts from Gundermann Acres
Paleo Snapper Taco  ( my favorite thing ever!)
Roasted local Beets and Pork Belly Salad (beets were from Gundermann Acres and pork was from Black Hills Ranch)
Pistachio Snapper
Paleo Fried Rice with Sweet Potato and Coconut Encrusted Snapper
 Tandoori Zataar Chicken

Desserts:
Paleo Lemon CheesecakePaleo Chocolate CheesecakePaleo Almond JoyCreme Brûlée (OMG NEED MORE OF THIS IN MY LIFE)Charlotte’s WebbApple TartChai Infused Tres Leches
The Calling Chardonnay, Jewell Vineyard, Dutton Ranch, Green Valley of Russian River Valley
The Long Drive Cocktail; Deep Eddy Sweet Tea and Deep Eddy Lemon Vodka served on Basil Crushed Ice
Hoopla “Un-Oaked” Chardonnay, Napa Valley
Hoopla “The Mutt” Meritage, Napa Valley
Hoopes Cabernet Sauvignon, Napa Valley

Drinks (and yes I tried all of these):
The Long Drive: sweet tea vodka, lemonade vodka, and basil ice

A surprise guest Giacomo Satta, son of Michele Satta from the very famous Satta Winery in Bolgheri stopped by and we introduced and poured the following:

Satta “Piastraia” (Cabernet, Merlot, Syrah, Sangiovese) NSRP $40
Satta “Castagni” (Cabernet, Syrah, Teroldelgo) NSRP $125

Spring Paleo Feast was definitely a memorable event with beautiful people and beautiful food surrounded by the modern and chic decor of Ruggles Black.

About Ruggles Black:
The concept and food at Ruggles Black is modern and fun: a fusion pushing Indian, Asian, and American flavors to whole new boundaries in terms of taste, but keeping it accessible in terms of price.
Ruggles Black is THE place to be for conscious eating foodies, as Bruce “The King of Paleo” cooks his amazingly delicious treats with local ingredients from farmers, while embracing the Paleo principles.
While the kitchen at Ruggles Black is Chef Molzan’s playground, the dining area is his partner’s canvas. Neera Patidar invited local artist Gino Vian to join her in creating the restaurant’s eclectic interior design, made to delight and inspire their upper Kirby visitors.
Although surprising in many ways, the spicy ethnic atmosphere is yet so versatile: perfect for casual fine dining, late night eating, cocktails & dancing, and can even accommodate special parties.

Connect with Ruggles Black online: www.rugglesblack.com. Add us on Facebook: Ruggles Black. Tag us with the hashtag #RugglesBlack

I can't wait to come back, the ambiance and everything was amazing!
